Snapshots of the double scientific event organized by CSIR-IMTECH on 26th April 2017 - a one day symposium to commemorate the scientific contributions of Dr. Amar Klar (1947-2017) and a special lecture by Nobel Laureate Prof. Roger Kornberg on the occasion of 'CSIR-IMTECH Nobel Laureate Series'.
Prof. Kornberg discussed his Nobel Prize winning work on RNA Polymerase and highlighted the importance of how failure rate in drug discovery cab be addressed through novel approaches.
Dr. Klar's accomplishments as a scientist were discussed by various eminent speakers including Dr. Rakesh Mishra (Director, CSIR-CCMB), Dr. DP Kasbekar, Dr. P Bhargava, Prof. Vani Brahmachari, Dr. A Bachhawat, Dr. SK. Misra, Dr. D Haldar, Dr. S Ahmad, Dr. S Khosla, Dr. K Tikoo from institutes like NIPER, IISER, CCMB, CDFD, etc.
Janssen Team from US, Europe and India visited #CSIR_IMTECH on 19th April 2017 to discuss the challenges and solutions associated with patient care through discovery of novel antibiotics for infectious diseases.
He delivered a talk about Tynor and its products. He also discussed about his future vision, innovations & possibilities for future collaborations with CSIR-IMTech.
