The major objective of the course will be to impart training on fermentation principles and engineering fundamentals of growing microorganisms in a bioreactor to express industrially important biomolecules. This workshop will also help the participants to gain fundamental understanding of the relationship between process design and product quality. Participants of the workshop will also engage in hands-on pilot-scale laboratory experiences that define and explore the critical control parameters required to achieve a robust fermentation process.
Topics/Themes to be discussed:
Minimum Qualification: B.Tech /M.Sc in any branch of life sciences and allied subjects. The course will be beneficial for those who are seeking a hands-on course on the engineering aspects of fermentation and downstream processing for example:
Registration Fees for Students: 5000/-; Faculty: 10000/-; Industry Personnel: 15000/-.
Workshop registration fee includes admission to all tutorials, technical sessions, morning and afternoon tea/coffee breaks and lunch(during the workshop dates only) ,Certificate for the participants .
Participants needing accommodation will be provided accommodation* in guest house on twin sharing basis. An extra amount of 5000/- will be charged from each person for this purpose. This will include breakfast, dinner and guest house accommodation for 6 nights.
