Indian International Science Festival 2019 IISF2019
As part of the promotion program of Indian International Science Festival 2019, Shri Jayant Sahasrabuddhe, National Organizing Secretary of Vigyan Bharati Sansthan VIBHA, visited CSIR-IMTECH on 16/10/2019.
This event was jointly organized by CSIR-IMTECH and CSIR-CSIO. Dr. Manoj Raje, Director CSIR-IMTECH and Prof. R.K. Sinha, Director CSIR-CSIO welcomed Shri Jayant. Along with this, teachers and students from Kendriya Vidyalaya and other schools were also welcomed.
Shri Jayant Sahasrabuddhe told about IISF2019 that this unique science festival has many types of diversity in itself. Scientists, engineers, researchers, craftsmen, farmers, students ... and others are invited in this event. This time 28 different types of events are going to be held in this festival. Anyone wishing to participate in the festival can register himself on the website of the event. He said that if students face any kind of difficulty in reaching the festival, they can contact the organizers and they will be helped as much as possible. Shri Jayant also told that the government is trying to promote science in regional languages, but every citizen of the country will have to come forward on his own behalf in this work.
Sharing many experiences of the Indian International Science Festival organized in the past years, Shri Jayant requested scientists and students to come to the festival in large numbers.
Dr. Manoj Raje said in his lecture that science is not limited only to expensive laboratories. Science and innovation is possible everywhere and by everyone. Describing home remedies and methods as a part of innovation, he appealed to everyone in simple language to cooperate in the progress of science.
Prof. R.K. Sinha in his brief lecture requested everyone to make the Indian International Science Festival 2019 a success. He also said that everyone should make efforts at their own level to spread science to the masses.
At the end of the program, Shri Jayant answered questions from scientists and students.
